I would like to say a few words about my mum’s work.
As many of you know, my mum has been part of the Cancer Research in the Drug Discovery Unit at Newcastle University. They carry out exciting research aimed at finding a cure to all cancers.
The Coronavirus pandemic has cast a huge shadow over everyone’s head (especially charities, who are depending hugely on charitable events such as Race for Life) and CRUK is already anticipating a huge deficit because of this crisis.
However, cancer is not going to disappear and helping charities such as CRUK is more important now than ever.
As a group and with the help of our families, we are participating in a Virtual Race for Life at Home. Collectively, over the coming week, we had plan to run/ride/cycle/dance our way to 1000 miles… and we achieved this goal in 3 days! So we are now aiming to reach 2000 miles before tonight! That’s the equivalent of a 2 laps circuit between all the CRUK Drug Discovery Units.
Please help us raise some funds to fight cancer and donate on the following page.
