My new recipe – Lemon drizzle cake

Hello again, today I baked a lemon drizzle cake so I have decided to put it on my blog.

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Heat your oven to 180°C/ 160° gas/ fan 4
  2. Soften the butter in the microwave and mix with sugar until creamy
  3. Add in the eggs one by one to the mixture
  4. Zest and juice the lemon
  5. Add lemon zest and flour with about 1/4 of the lemon juice
  6. Grease a baking tin with some butter
  7. You can now also add the poppy seeds (if you want to)
  8. Put into the pre-heated oven and bake for 40 – 50 mins

For the Drizzle:

  1. Mix together the rest of the lemon juice and the sugar until syrupy
